My Profile
Do I need to recreate my profile on the new website? What happens to the existing information?Individual profile information (address, HSG-graduation, club memberships etc.) will be automatically transferred to the new site, as will the photo. In the field ‘Competencies’, there are some new fields which require information not directly responding to that which we have on the old files, this information will need to be updated by the member. Individuals active in «my network» will need to reconfirm that they wish to receive notification of address changes and birthdays within their selected networks.
Access to Member Areas
I’ve forgotten my password. How can I obtain a new one?You can request a new password at any time online. Your password will be automatically forwarded to your nominated forwarding address.
I have requested a new password, why haven’t I received it yet?
It is likely that your current nominated forwarding address is no longer active. Please pay attention to this detail, and should problems persist, contact HSG Alumni.
I am a member of HSG Alumni, but I am refused access?
It could be that your membership fee has not been paid. Payment can be made online or by payment slip.
I am not a member of HSG Alumni. Can I still log in?
Access is limited to paying members. Members are not permitted to forward their login details to others.
Membership is open to those who fulfill the following requirements:
1. Graduates of the University of St. Gallen
2. Graduates of other universities who were once enrolled at the University of St.Gallen and have graduated with an equivalent degree (e.g. exchange students)
3. Graduates of post-graduate degree programs (e.g. Executive MBA)
4. Members of university faculty
5. Individuals and institutions having unique connections to the university
Membership Fees
What is the easiest way for me to pay my membership fee?You can pay safely and conveniently online. Alternatively, you can request a payment slip from alumni@unisg.ch.
Can I already pay my membership fee for 2009, even though the invoices are sent out in March?
When you pay now online your contribution will cover fees for the current year.
HSG Alumni Clubs
How can I join a HSG Alumni Club?Simply select your chosen club on the website under ‚Clubs‘ and complete your registration online. Regional clubs and chapters are open to all HSG Alumni members, whereas program- and interest-specific clubs, aswell as company clubs, can refuse applications according to their own membership criteria.
I live and work in Switzerland but I frequently travel to London. I would like to be informed of the London club’s activities, is this possible?
Yes, simply get in contact with the club of interest to be informed of their activities and to register for events.
Can I pay the HSG Alumni Club membership fees online?
Limitations in the existing licensing contract mean this is not possible at this point in time. We hope to be able to offer this function at some point in the future.
Events
Where can I register and deregister online?You can register and deregister for events online under „events“, as long as the organizer has enabled this function.
Data Protection
How can HSG Alumni guarantee protection of data?HSG Alumni is very strict in regards to the handling of addresses. Access to the Who’s Who is limited to members, who are obliged to abide by HSG Alumni’s general terms and conditions. Members also have the opportunity to block what information is visible to other users.
